Hathcocks' prayer update excerpts

Greetings from Debrecen,

So thankful for your prayers last Wednesday! God gave Darrel the things to say and he met the expectations of the dean. He has quite a variety of students from Israel, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Korea, Africa, etc. ... We are waiting to see what God will do through this class.

Thanking God for a great discipleship time with the students and thought-provoking conversations. We had also shared with several non-Christian and Christian students at the Coffee House. We were blessed to reconnect with some friends at a basketball tournament in Budapest and to introduce our Hungarian friends to the game American-style. There was a team from Kiev and I am continually reminded of the fragile situation that exists and the stress.

Please pray:
  • The situation in Kiev. Pray for the people to draw close to God and/or seek Him. God hears their cries for help and He will make a way for them. The missionaries that serve there that God would protect them and give them peace and use them to share the gospel.
  • Darrel as he prepares and teaches on Wednesday at 6pm that he will be able to connect with the students and see where God is at work.
  • Discipleship time on Monday nights that God would give us wisdom to best prepare and that the Holy Spirit would speak through us as we encourage them to grow in their relationship with God.
  • Our church in Debrecen decided to call a pastor and now the pastor has till the end of this month to make his decision. Pray that this man will listen to God and be obedient.
  • Pray for Arianna on Thursday night as she plays piano at Coffee House that the Holy Spirit would show her what songs to play and that people would see Jesus in her life.
  • We have a pastor coming next week to speak to men about leadership. Pray that God would prepare the hearts of those he will be speaking with and that they would be obedient to the things that God reveals to them as this man speaks and challenges them.
Thank you so much for your prayers!

If you are interested in praying specifically for a student in Darrel's class for the next 14 weeks let me know. We will be gathering the names of the students after his next class.

Blessings,
Kimberly
